More and more we are finding Total House and Bathroom Refurbishment are being asked to come up with new ideas for installing addition toilets, showers or full bathrooms into homes. This recent project takes advantage of a small unused space under the stairs to create an impressive and very beneficial extra downstairs cloakroom for this busy family.
Fitting a new cloakroom into a small space
The space available for this new cloak room was limited but once the team had cleared the space and added a new stud wall it was perfect for a new small cloakroom downstairs with toilet and sink basin.
Plumbing work for new cloakroom
So we had to open a hole in the floor and run a new soil pipe under the floor to the back of the house to connect into existing soil pipe from upstairs toilet. Electrics were installed for the new cloakroom lighting and we also added a new service hatch to make sure that any future maintenance would be easy and hassle free.
Cloakroom Walls and Ceilings
The cloakroom ceilings where fitted with low maintenance high gloss silver and white pvc ceiling panels, with 2 polished chrome down lights to bring plenty of light and style to this small space. We have used Duma. Grey pvc panels on walls with Duma charcoal Pvc flooring and high gloss white pvc skirting provide the perfect stylish look while being low maintenance and easy to clean.
Back to Wall Toilet and Vanity Wash Basin
The bathroom has been fitted with a modern semi back to the wall toilet along with a wash hand basin sitting on a high gloss vanity hand basin. Providing the perfect look while saving space and adding storage. The external wall once plastered were fitted with new skirtings and architraves along with a high quality cottage style door to complete the new cloakroom.
